If you want to play a pivotal role in supporting our three hospices (Martlets, St Michael’s and St Peter & St James Hospice) work together and deliver exceptional training for our clinical teams, we would like to hear from you.
You will support subject matter experts to meet high standards of training and be a principal point of contact for all of our clinical education. You will support the management and implementation of a high standard, organised, and coordinated clinical education programme each year and plan ahead beyond that, as new requirements emerge.
You will engage with our Inpatient, Community, Rehab and Patient and Family Support teams during both the planning and development of their statutory and mandatory training aligning this work over the three hospices, to embed excellence and alignment in practice education.
You will spend most of your time between clinical teams, managers and directors recommending innovative and creative ways to develop their staff groups; to progress their careers and knowledge base, using well-developed interpersonal skills to make progress, as you continue to refine and prioritise training and development interventions.
You will develop evidence-based documents, as necessary through briefs and reports. You will be able to convey to our education groups/ committees at each hospice how the strategic aims have been achieved, with plans and delegated actions, liaising with the Learning Hub project team and other education projects to ensure clarity on role deliverables, as your role becomes embedded. We inevitably have postponed work at each hospice through Covid-19, this opportunity is exciting for you to make the role yours and set the way forward as a joint position.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Sussex Hospice education collaboration teams. The base will be in Brighton and Hove, however a combination of working from home and over hospice sites near Chailey and Hastings will be necessary.
St Peters and St James is a rewarding organisation to work for: our employees enjoy a wide range of benefits including: pension scheme, BUPA Employee Assistant plan, 35 days paid holiday (pro-rata for part-time staff), and 20% discount in our shops.
