£34,537 to £40,570 p/a
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing Wellbeing Team at St Michael’s Hospice in Hastings. The post holder would join our existing Rehabilitation staff made up of a Senior Occupational Therapist, an Apprentice Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapists, and Wellbeing Assistants.
The role would involve the rewarding and challenging responsibilities of delivering specialist therapeutic input to a caseload of diverse and complex patients in the inpatient, community, and outpatient settings using both group and individual interventions. They would work in accordance with the principles of rehabilitative palliative care and contribute to enabling people with serious and advanced illness to live as fully as possible until they die.
The post holder would share the on-the-job clinical mentorship of an Apprentice Occupational Therapist with the Team’s other Senior Occupational Therapist. There are opportunities to collaborate on the development and growth of the Occupational Therapy Service going forward.
The candidate will benefit from close supportive working relationships alongside other specialist palliative care professionals and a senior leadership team that is dedicated to a vision of a more rehabilitative and enablement focus model of patient care.
Candidates should have a wide range of occupational therapy experience and an understanding of rehabilitative palliative care. We are open to candidates from a variety of clinical backgrounds including, but not limited to Mental Health, Inpatient, and Community Occupational Therapy.
