Elm Cottage

This large garden has open spaces, a great view and a big sky. There is a full vegetable garden, a green house and polytunnel, a small area planted with various trees, a variety of small beds, pots and baskets with pelargoniums, begonias, dahlias, lilies and an assortment of shrubs, perennial and bedding plants as well as horses, sheep, hens and geese.

Morhouse

Lower Street, TN33 9EA
Jon and Katie Higham

The garden wraps around the house which was built in 1628, a former shop and one of the oldest houses in Ninfield. The garden culminates in a charming sheltered courtyard area accessed by walking through an ancient rose arch. With both sunny and shaded seating areas, an enormous climbing rose and a well. It’s a haven from the world. The owners have also created a new wildflower meadow on the bank at the front of the house as a joint project with their neighbours, and they eagerly await the results.

Moor Cottage

Lower Street, TN33 9EA
Sue and Keith Edwards

An established sloping cottage garden on three sides of the 17th century cottage. A new wildflower
bank as you approach with a small front garden with box hedging enclosing the planting. The main
garden has a central white border surrounded by colour themed mixed borders. An area of prairie planting was developed in 2020. The garden is punctuated with various trees and hornbeam hedges. There are several seating areas including a patio with views of the surrounding countryside. At the rear of the cottage is a small courtyard partially shaded by clematis with arrangements of pots to soften the area.
