Dedicate a star and remember a loved one

With the festive season on the horizon and 2021 drawing to a close many of us will use this time to reflect on the year and remember family and friends who are sadly no longer with us.

We have once again adapted to new ways of living and for many it has been another difficult year but the Hospice are delighted to be able to offer a virtual Lights of Love service again this year, for everyone who finds it such an important day of reflection.

On Sunday 12th December at 3pm, join us virtually to come together for a time of reflection, no matter your location, religious or spiritual beliefs, or whether or not you have a connection to the Hospice. It is an opportunity for our community to find comfort during these difficult times, whatever your personal circumstances.

Hang one of our environmentally responsible star decorations at home again this year, including your personalised dedication and this year will see the return of a virtual Lights of Love tree, where you can dedicate a star online and share your memories of a loved one, alongside others who have come together to do the same.

The interactive service on Sunday 12th December at 3pm will give you the chance to pause, reflect and remember your own treasured memories of your loved ones. At 4pm there will be a virtual tree lighting ceremony, where there will be a chance to hear from the Mayor of Hastings, Cllr James Bacon.

Visit our Lights of Love page for more details and to request your star, as well as details for purchasing Lights of Love candles.
