Georgie’s knitting success

Earlier this month we received a wonderful email and photo of Georgie Farrow, from her daughter Lindy, showcasing Georgie’s fantastic fundraising.

Lindy said; “My Mum is 85 and lives in Bexhill on Sea. She’s originally from Hastings, as was my Dad, who sadly died in 2010. During lockdown Mum has been keeping herself very busy knitting. In total she has knitted close to 60 scarves, some she gave away as Christmas presents, but most were sold and she asked me to donate the money to the Hospice.

Lockdown has been hard for everyone, visiting Mum with a glass partition between us has been heart breaking, but it has been fantastic to see Mum’s knitting, hearing that she is still enjoying writing quizzes and laughing.”

We would like to say a big thank you to Georgie for raising vital funds for the Hospice and Lindy for sharing her story with us.
