Open Gardens return for 2021

Our Open Garden 2021 season is just around the corner, kicking off with a visit to Benenden on Tuesday 18th May.

This year’s open gardens span the breadth of Hastings and Rother, and there will be 60 specular gardens opening over 16 days. This May sees three gardens opening their gates for the Hospice including; Benenden on Tuesday 18th May, Peasmarsh on Tuesday 25th May and Sedlescombe on Saturday 29th May, the Open Gardens season will then continue through to August.

Each week the Hospice will serve a delicious selection of cakes and drinks and the ever-popular plant stall will be available with thanks to Great Park Farm. Open Garden gift vouchers are also available from the Hospice and make the perfect gift for all celebrations.

Open Gardens gives the public the opportunity to explore breath taking private gardens for inspiration, learn new skills and enhance your wellbeing whilst raising vital funds for the Hospice.

“We would like to thank all our wonderful garden owners who so generously open their gardens, our fantastic volunteers who give their time at each event, the businesses of Hastings and Rother who proudly display our booklets and all the visitors who come to the gardens and ensure funds are raised for the Hospice. We would also like to thank this year’s Open Garden sponsor Crest House Care Home, we are so grateful for all your wonderful support.” said Laura Sully, Senior Community and Events Fundraiser.

All Open Gardens are subject to Government guidelines and road maps set out by the government, therefore, we reserve the right to adapt and review any of the guidelines at any time.
