Registered Nurses (Bank) - Inpatient Unit

Up to £21.30 per hour depending on experience

We are currently recruiting Registered Nurses to work flexible hours (days and nights) on our Bank team within our Inpatient Unit, with opportunities to broaden your nursing experience within our Community Teams.

The teams provide specialist palliative care to support patients and families. This involves an interdisciplinary approach through holistic assessment to ensure evidence-based treatment, alongside the provision of social, emotional and spiritual care for the patient and family.

Our team provide skilled nursing care and compassionate support to ensure the holistic needs of people living with a terminal illness are met.

Enabling people to live with choice and dignity
By working in partnership with patients, their families, members of the Hospice interdisciplinary team and our community partners, our palliative care nurses play an essential role in optimising symptom control issues (and making a rewarding difference to people. They promote timely advance care planning, enabling people to live with choice and dignity, providing sensitive emotional support and being alongside patients and their families to provide compassionate end-of-life care.

Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Working within our team, you will have time to care whilst supporting patients and their families in living life to the full.

We are looking for registered nurses with the following
• an affinity for working with people who can build natural and trusted rapport with patients and families
• great communication skills; be able to openly and honestly support people with sensitive topics including loss, grief and dying;
• sound judgement and a real commitment to patient-centred interdisciplinary team working.

We want enthusiastic, dynamic practitioners who want to make a positive difference for patients and their families.

Whilst palliative care experience is desirable it is not essential to join our Hospice team as a Registered Nurse. If you have a passion to work in palliative care and transferable nursing skills and experience, we have a specialist team of nurses and professionals to develop and support you.

We are open to hearing from newly graduated nurses, nurses interested in part time or bank work and nurses with experience in other fields interested in a career change.
