Follow that Duck

Follow that Duck

Shake your tailfeathers and follow that duck

Our Follow That Duck live art trial is live until 4th September 2022. The trail sees Hastings and Rother hosting nesting sites for 30 large Rubber Duck sculptures and a host of smaller Rubber Ducklings, creating a live art trail from Hastings Old Town to Bexhill on Sea. This fun, free, family friendly event creates an art gallery of fabulous creativity and inspiration within our local communities.

Each large Rubber Duck sculpture has been sponsored by a business and individually designed and painted by an artist; some well-known and many of them local, from the fantastic art communities we have here, in and around Hastings.

The smaller Rubber Duckling sculptures are designed and decorated by local schools, giving young people the chance to get creative and enhance their wellbeing. The ducklings have joined the trail, nestling themselves into safe indoor locations.

You can pick up a Follow that Duck trail map from the Hospice reception or any hospice shop, or download the Follow that Duck App and wend your way along the coast – will you find all the Ducks and Ducklings?

How you can get involved with Follow that Duck

To bring this exciting project to life, we need you to visit as many ducks as possible. Please feel free to take as many photos and selfies as you can – the more quackers, the better! Don’t forget to post your photos on our social media channels using #followthatduck – there is so much fun to be had and you can really make the trail your own!

You can also visit our pop up shop in Priory Meadow to see the range of fabulous merchandise available, including coasters, badges and tea towels. You’ll find the perfect momento or gift for anyone who loves ducks.
