Beth

Community Engagement Project Manager
Brief info

"I joined the Hospice in July 2021 to project manage the delivery of the Hospice’s art trail featuring Rubber Duck art sculptures – a first for the Hospice and a first for Hastings and Rother.

What I’ve loved about my job has been building relationships with supporters in our community, such as businesses, schools, community groups, artists, and councils; without which the Follow that Duck trail wouldn’t have been possible.

I have loved being part of something so colourful and joyful, and I especially loved seeing our 51 Rubber Duck sculptures transform from blank canvasses into the most beautiful works of art, each one so unique. What I especially love is hearing about and seeing the joy the Ducks are bringing to thousands of locals and visitors, now the trail has begun. Nothing makes your work feel more worthwhile, than knowing it’s having a positive impact on lots of people. The positive impact of the trail will result in a hopeful £150,000 raised in vital funds, when we auction our large Ducks in October.

My job is quackers and I love it!"
